Coverage Offered

Medicare & Health

Medicare provides health insurance coverage to individuals who are age 65 and over, under age 65 with certain disabilities, and individuals of all ages with ESRD (end stage renal disease).

Medicare Advantage

Medicare Advantage (MA) plans are health plan options approved by Medicare and offered by private insurance companies that are contracted by the federal government.  Medicare Advantage plans provide Medicare Part A (hospital) and Medicare Part B (medical) coverage, and some plans include Medicare Part D (prescription drug) coverage. Medicare Advantage plans typically provide additional benefits and services that Original Medicare does not cover.

Medicare Supplements (Medigap)

A Medicare Supplement Plan (Medigap policy) is an insurance policy that helps supplement Original Medicare and is sold by private companies. A Medigap policy can help pay some of the remaining health care costs that Original Medicare doesn't pay for covered services and supplies, like copayments, coinsurance, and deductibles.

Medicaid

Medicaid is a state and federal program that provides health coverage if you have a very low income. If you are eligible for both Medicare and Medicaid (dually eligible), you can have both. They will work together to provide you with health coverage and lower your costs.

Hospital Indemnity

Hospital Indemnity plans provide extra financial support after an illness or injury, resulting in hospitalization. A Hospital Indemnity plan pays a specific, fixed benefit dollar amount that you selected when applying, regardless of the amount charged by providers and there are no restrictions on how you can spend the money.
